Announcing Our Fall 2024 Class Fund Recipients
We are very excited to offer small grants to further support our faculty in their new media classes.
In Fall 2024, we are able to support three BCNM faculty and their respective classes: Tom McEnaney's "Sounding American", Jacob Gaboury's "Game Art and Art Games", and Asma Kazmi's "Questioning New Media".
These funds are being used in a plethora of ways to enrich the course experience for students. For Tom, the funds will be used to offset the costs of bringing Andrew Leland, Pulitzer Prize finalist and author of "The Country of the Blind: A Memoir at the End of Sight," to discuss the intersection of blindness, disability, and new media. Meanwhile, Jacob is using the grant to invite three game designers to speak in his class. Lastly, Asma will utilize the funds to rent a truck for her class to participate in Alex Saum's Internet Tour on October 12th, 2024. The truck will be used to mount mobile installations of Carbonivore, Asma's art installation with Jill Miller, developed by the students.
