From the profile:
A “virtuoso” (HKSNA) in command of a range of expression from “eerie sonance” (Diapason) to “jumpy athleticism” (Chicago Classical Review), Tiffany Ng, Ph.D. is Chair of the Department of Organ, Associate Professor of Music (carillon), and University Carillonist at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. A dynamic advocate of diversity in contemporary music, she has premiered over 60 carillon and organ pieces by composers including Augusta Read Thomas, Yvette Janine Jackson, and Connor Chee, co-pioneered models for interactive carillon performances and environmental-data-driven sound installations at UC Berkeley, Stanford, and Michigan, and through her collaborations significantly increased the American repertoire for carillon and electronics. Her current multi-year project, “A Century of Women and the Carillon,” can be visited at CarillonWomen.org.
