Camille Crittenden part of New NHERI SimCenter
Dr. Camille Crittenden is joins the newly established SimCenter, headed by UC Berkeley Professor of Structural Engineering Stephen Mahin.
Camille will contribute to the center's mission to support research on improving civil instructure in the case of natural hazards such as earthquakes, tsunamis, and windstorms, as part of UC Berkeley's Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society. Using computational modeling and simulation software tools (think: machine learning), researchers at the SimCenter aim to help inform policymakers about imperative improvements to urban planning.
The SimCenter is driven by a multidisciplinary approach, drawing on earth sciences, engineering, public policy, and the social sciences to best prepare our beloved cities.
