BCNM at SIGCIS 2023
BCNM is proud to highlight Hannah Zeavin and alum Nicholaus Gutierrez's work at The 14th annual conference of the Special Interest Group in Computing, Information, and Society [SIGCIS].
Hannah Zeavin, Assistant Professor, History and Berkeley Center for New Media, is also part of the BCNM Executive Committee. She will be part of the FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2023 conference schedule taking place from 2PM - 3:45PM EDT / 6PM - 7:45PM UTC. Hannah's presentation will be "Locating Distress: The Datafication of the Hotline" as part of the Feeling by the Numbers: Emotions and Algorithmic Media section of SIGCIS.
Nicholaus Gutierrez, Assistant Professor in Cinema and Media Studies at Wellesley College will present "Virtualizing Embodiment: An Archaeology of Digital Space" on Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 11:30-1:15pm EDT as part of the Materials and Bodies section.
