Ken Goldberg, BCNM faculty and UC Berkeley AUTOLAB representative led a Silicon Valley Robotics Influencer Salon at Tempo Automation, a factory for rapid electronic prototyping.

Goldberg’s salon, which took place on April 13, responded to one of the most urgent questions on roboticists’ minds: At what point can, and should, robots leave the research lab and be integrated in industries? Ken highlighted three “waves” in robotic research methodology, addressing hybrid and empirical methods.
