Excavating AI Wins BSHS Ayrton Prize

Every two yearsbshs BSHS Ayrton Prize Outreach and Engagement Committee awards the BSHS Ayrton Prize for digital or online engagement. After deliberating over an impressive number and variety of submissions, the judging panel has announced two joint-winners for the 2019 prize — Excavating AI by BCNM alum Trevor Paglen and Kate Crawford, and the Darwin Correspondence Project!

The judges praised Excavating AI’s activist contribution to a crucial topic in critical tech studies with a strong historical foundation. More details of this on their website.
