Alum Clement Hil Goldberg on Queer and Trans Culture and the Parlour Club
BCNM alum Clement Hil Goldberg dives into the history of Queer and Trans Culture and the Parlour Club as part of a "Field Notes" entry for SF Moma in "What You Missed Even if You Were There."
According to the "Field Notes" description on the SF Moma website, it includes "Critical observations on the cultural landscape; musings in and on the field; explorations on the road."
Goldberg opens their piece by describing their queer bar search in early 2000s Los Angeles.
"As would be the case for most of my twenties, including the years the bar operated (2002–2005), I was only vaguely aware of the formative cultural impact the people around me would have on my life and art practice."
