From the Transatlantic Sync mission statement, the conference is aimed at "building a new transatlantic bridge based on shared values and cooperation in new technologies and the digital economy."

At the conference, Dr. Crittenden spoke at a panel titled 'Ethics & Responsibility in the Digital Age,' talking about how widespread artificial intelligence is within daily life and how its large influence should be more transparent for everyone. She also discussed the role of civil society and regulations with John Hennessy, the Chairman of Alphabet and President Emeritus of Stanford University.
