Camille Crittenden: Part of California Government Blockchain Working Group

The California Government Operations Agency has selected CITRIS Executive Director, Camille Crittenden, to lead the California Blockchain Working Group.

Crittenden has been tasked with exploring "the possible use cases of distributed ledger technology (DLT) in the state and [presenting] a report of their findings to the Legislature by July 1, 2020," according to BTC Manager.

DLT records transactions of assets in multiple locations at once, without the use of just one central database.

“DLT holds promising opportunities not only for cryptos but for areas of social impact such as documenting land and property rights, ensuring a chain of custody for legal evidence and supply chains, and offering consumers greater control over their financial and health data," said Crittenden.
