ATC Video Now Online: Nicholas Negroponte
MIT Media Lab Director Nicholas Negroponte's “Connectivity as a Human Right” disseminated the technological revolution facing the world today. Negroponte referenced many of his earlier predictions — such as his 1995 claim that people would come to spend more time on the Internet than watching television — to extrapolate on what future developments may face us.
He elaborated on his career, life philosophy, and ongoing intiatives. His latest One Laptop per Child initiative connects back to his belief in an eventual global human connectivity beyond a mere convenience, and more as a fundamental human necessity.
