Queerness and Games Conference Shoutout
Guess who made the front page of the SF Bay Guardian? Go QGCon!
Thanks to Chris Goetz and Bonnie Ruberg, UC Berkeley and BCNM have honored the Bay Area's tradition of indie gaming by hosting the Queerness and Games Conference on October 26th and 27th. The conference was a smashing success and the new ideas formed there will go on to revolutionize the face of gaming as we know it! The conference offered academics, designers, theorists, and ga(y)mers a chance to talk about ethnic, gender, and sexual representation in video games, gamer culture, and the evolving ways in which video games are responding to and pushing cultural norms and boundaries.
