Kate Mattingly on Joe Goode In Dancer's Group
On the blog of Dancer's Group, a Bay area arts service organization, Kate Mattingly (BCNM TDPS) celebrated the Joe Goode Performance Group, hosted at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, as it grows into its 30th year this June.
Mattingly, who was a student of Goode's at the Harvard Summer Dance program, discusses the complexity of Goode's work, such as the value of diverse communities and identities, beyond themes of queerness and gender.
