Gail De Kosnik Interviews Tabaimo at Artist's First US Exhibition
BCNM faculty Gail de Kosnik interviewed Tabaimo last Wednesday at the opening of her first major US exhibition at the San Jose Museum of Art. Tabaimo's work exposes the anxieties of modern Japanese society by taking quotidian scenes of orderly Japanese life and trasnforming them with surreal and often jarring imagery. Her displayed works include video installations and site-specific wall-drawings and is on exhibit until August.
