Announcing the 2016-2017 Season of the Art, Technology & Culture Colloquium
The Berkeley Center for New Media is thrilled to announce the 2016-2017 season of the Art, Technology, and Culture Colloquium! This year, our lectures are organized around the theme of "Digital Immersion." Lectures will take place on Monday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm. Seating is available on a first come, first served basis, with doors opening at 6:15pm. In the Fall, lectures will be held in Banatao Auditorium, Sutardja Dai Hall. In the Spring, we will be relocating to downtown to the Osher Auditorium, BAM/PFA.
The ATC series is produced by the Berkeley Center for New Media (BCNM) in collaboration with the ARC | Arts + Design Initiative, with support from the Office of the Vice Chancellor and Provost, Meyer Sound, the Townshend-Lamarre Foundation, and Theo Armour. Berkeley’s ATC lecture series is an internationally known forum for presenting new ideas that challenge conventional wisdom about technology and culture. This series, free of charge and open to the public, presents artists, writers, curators, and scholars who consider contemporary issues at the intersection of aesthetic expression, emerging technologies, and cultural history, from a critical perspective.
