Re-presenting Spaces: Literature, Ecology, the World We Share
BCNM is proud to be one of the 2024 Comparative Literature Undergraduate Research Symposium sponsors.
The UC Berkeley Comparative Literature department is thrilled to host our 11th Annual Symposium, “Re-presenting Spaces: Literature, Ecology, the World We Share” on April 27th, 2024. For our 11th year anniversary, we wanted to conceptualize a theme that honored the work of previous symposia, while encouraging fresh takes on literature, culture, and society. Through the symposium, the committee aims to provide a forum for undergraduates to present and discuss their research among peers, graduate students, professors, and the public. This year, we are pleased to announce that our keynote speaker will be Emma Fraser, Assistant Teaching Professor in Media Studies and the Berkeley Center for New Media at UC Berkeley.
To attend the symposium feel free to RSVP here.
As the event is free and open to the public, we hope to have a variety of attendees in addition to the presenting students. Spectators are welcome to attend our undergraduate presentations, our graduate student panel with students from Geography, French, and Comp Lit, our Keynote speaker presentation by Professor Emma Fraser, and/or our complimentary lunch reception. Morning panels will start at 8:45 AM and afternoon panels will start at 2 PM, with a lunch reception from 1:30pm - 2pm. We have both virtual and in-person options for student panels and livestream links to the keynote speech will be made available to individuals who RSVP.
