AAPI Media Creatives Fellowship Talkback

The AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islander) community has played a significant role in U.S. history and contributed to culture around the world, but until very recently, mainstream storytelling from Hollywood has not reflected these contributions or included narratives of the diaspora. We want to change this and create a pipeline of creatives from Cal to Hollywood through our recently launched AAPI Media Creatives Fellowship.

Join AAPI industry leaders Lacy Lew Nguyen Wright (Manager of Social Innovation, Endeavor), Jason Lin (Producer, Story Arch Pictures), and Laura Reddy (Manager, Range Media Partners) for a conversation on what it means to make your way in Hollywood as an AAPI creative.

We’ll be discussing how to secure a summer internship in the media industry, how you can make the most of your internship, and how to leverage the experience to build a career in entertainment. We'll also hear from Minh Anh Van, the inaugural recipient of the fellowship, and include a Q&A portion with our presenters.

Note: this online event is for UC Berkeley students only. Register for Zoom link here!

This is a live event and will not be recorded. Please attend to participate in the conversation.
