Berkeley Center for New Media's co-founder Ken Goldberg was a main speaker at the RoboBusiness conference from September 28-29th, 2015 in San Jose, California. He presented and discussed the "State of the Art Cloud Robotics," a concept that will have robots access and exchange data and code via wireless networking, but can lead to enormous issues related to privacy and security.

As a distinguished faculty member, the Director of the People and Robots Initiative alongside his affiliation with BCNM, Prof. Ken Goldberg has published over 200 peer-reviewed papers upon algorithms for robotics and automation, and holds eight patents for his inventions. Prof. Goldberg teaches in the department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, but holds joint positions in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science, Art Practice, the School of Information, and the Department of Radiation Oncology at the UCSF Medical School. Prof. Goldberg's art has been featured everywhere from Tokyo to Buenos Aires. He was also awarded the Presidential Faculty Fellowship in 1995 by Pres. Bill Clinton and the National Science Foundation Faculty Fellowship in 1994, to name a few of his other accomplishments.
