Announcing the 2026 AAPI Entertainment Career Fellow

Congratulations to Chloe Choi, BCNM's 2026 AAPI Entertainment Career Fellow!

Through our AAPI Entertainment Career Fellowship, BCNM aims to transform both how entertainment careers are viewed by AAPI students, and how AAPI are viewed within the entertainment industry. Chloe Choi will receive a summer stipend of $1,500 plus mentorship from industry professionals. The funding will help her pursue her creative passions in media and entertainment over the summer. She will also receive valuable mentorship from industry leaders Jason Lin (Producer, Story Arch Pictures), Joanne Lee (EVP, Jackson Pictures, and Jonder Ho (SVP, Business Affairs, Universal Studios Group), which will include activities and events, such as lunches, 1-1 meetings, speaker events and more. The fellowship seeks to build a network of AAPI Cal alumni in leadership positions in media who, by developing narratives that feature AAPI and encouraging greater diversity at all levels within studios and agencies, will fundamentally change the ecosystem of cultural production to be more reflective of the AAPI community at large.

Chloe Choi is an incoming senior at UC Berkeley, double majoring in Media Studies and Political Economy with a minor in Korean Language. Originally from Los Angeles, she developed a love for cinematic arts through directing and editing short films in high school. Simultaneously, her broader interest for the entertainment industry continuously expanded, making her passionate about discovering different fields even within. At Berkeley, Chloe has taken on leadership roles across multiple organizations including Business Careers in Entertainment Club and CalTV, while also being a consultant, member, and friend in a diverse array of extracurriculars including Korean Business Organization, DiversaTech, BARE Magazine, Berkeley Student Media, Public School Records, Cal Athletics, and more. She strives to find a way to connect media with audiences in an engaging, creative, and meaningful way. Chloe is dedicated towards connecting her Korean heritage in both professional and personal ways, aiming to foster cross-cultural representation within the entertainment industry.
