Berkeley Arts + Design End of Year Reflection

As the academic year has come to a close, Berkeley Arts + Design Initiative Associate Vice Chancellor and BCNM faculty Shannon Jackson, reflects on the significant headways the organization has made in spite of changes within the campus's social and political landscape.

From a weekly lecture series (Arts + Design Mondays @ BAMPFA) to an online anthology of artistic disciplines (In Terms of Performance) and the launch of a new multi-disciplinary educational program (Design Innovation Certificate), Arts + Design made many engaging events happen for all to enjoy and participate in this past year, and BCNM is proud to have collaborated on such exciting endeavors!

Here's an excerpt from Jackson's open letter:

"As we look ahead to that future, we are grateful for the programmatic developments we have already achieved. Whether we are welcoming students of all majors or welcoming community members of all generations, whether we are working with our campus organizations or with our Bay Area partners, our goal is to advance creative innovation for the public good."
