As the winners of the Sage Teaching category, BCNM faculty member Abigail De Kosnik, alum Jingyi Li, and graduate student Jaclyn Zhou have been awarded a Sage Concept Grant for the Media Education Research Lab (MERL) at UC Berkeley!
MERL developed a Diversity Scores method to teach students how to critically assess diversity in media by tagging texts for bias, analyzing audience reception, and scoring diversity.
