Grasping Research by Ken Goldberg Featured in DailyCal

Ken Goldberg and his fellow researchers, among them Jeffrey Ichnowski and graduate student Yahav Avigal, have created artificial intelligence software allowing for robots to smoothy grasp and move objects. This technology is a product of a prior creation of Jeffry and Ken, namely the Grasp-Optimized Motion Planner. Considering how the pandemic has presented a new issue of safety in warehouses, the team hopes that this technology can help companies continue business while also keeping the work environment safe for their workers.
