BCNM Alumni Help Launch Digital Studies Institute at Michigan

The University of Michigan is establishing a new Digital Studies Institute and BCNM alum Tiffany Ng has been involved in its launch as a founding member!

The Digital Studies institute is a collaboration with partners, units and faculty from across campus to produce cutting-edge research to understand and orient digital citizens, and to help students better face these challenges themselves. The DSI will bring a humanities-centered approach to the power and problems of digital worlds, while the coursework will allow students to attain a degree with a more holistic and tech-savvy viewpoint on social and cultural issues.

The institute is a large-scale investment in documenting technological change that will double down on the value of humanities education and research to help students understand the digital worlds they experience and to operate ethically within them.
