Alum Tiffany Ng on Building Digital Research and Making at UM

BCNM alum Tiffany Ng, who is currently a prfessor of carillon at the University of Michigan's School of Music, was a presenter at a one-day symposium on April 6. "Digital What? Building Digital Research and Making at U-M" was a one-day gathering of "lightning talks" and networking revolving around digital studies. Creators, researchers and any members related to the digital studies field were encouraged to attend. It took place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m..

Ng was the first lightning talk presenter of the day, where she mediated a discussion on "Experiments in the Belfry."

The event was organized by the Digital Studies department at the University of Michigan, and was sponsored by organizations such as Screen Arts and Cultures, the Department of American Culture, the Sweetland Center for Writing, and the University Library. Talks ranged from information and technology to interdisciplinary research.
