Ron Rael at Berkeley's Uncharted Festival
Ron Rael will be presenting "Borderwall as architecture" at Uncharted: The Berkeley Festival of Ideas!
Uncharted is a weekend festival of ideas featuring a mix of conversations and ideas you’ll encounter nowhere else. Unscripted, unpredictable, Uncharted. The festival will be on October 27 and 28 from 9AM to 5PM, with spaces open after presentations to interact with presenters!
Berkeleyside, the award-winning, independent local news website, founded Uncharted in 2013 in the belief that the most intriguing ideas — and solutions to today’s big challenges — emerge from the collision of different visions and perspectives.
Rael will present at the Freight and Salvage Coffeehouse at 11:30AM on the 27th! In the great tradition of architecture as polemic, Ronald Rael has undertaken a re-examination of what the physical barrier that divides the US and Mexico is and could be. His work is both a protest against the wall and a projection about its future.
