Greg Niemeyer is a data artist. Data art is a new art form that visualizes data and that raises fundamental questions about how to deal with a new, very powerful commodity. Niemeyer describes data as "the oil of the 21st century". In other words it is so valuable that we should know how to become data participants to avoid exploitation of our data by third parties.
