Bonnie Ruberg Speaks at Game Developers Conference

Bonnie Ruberg recently gave a talk at the annual Game Developers Conference, the world’s largest professional game industry event, in San Francisco, on the responsibility for educators to integrate socially-aware game designs into their classroom.

The title of her presentation was “Teaching Students How to Make Games under Fascism,” calling for game and design instructors to facilitate students’ awareness of today’s political climate. Originally, Bonnie was slated to speak on “Teaching Students How to Make Socially-Aware Games,” but she changed her topic to underscore the relevance of politics in the classroom.

We’re thrilled to see so many of our grads involved in engaged scholarship!
