Congratulations to Tom McEnaney for being a receipient of the Mellon New Directions Fellowship!

The New Directions Fellowships awards faculty members with research in the humanities and humanistic social sciences who hope to pursue training outside of their expertise. The program aims to encourage and enable scholars in the humanities to work on cross-disciplinary research and the problems that interest them most.

His research works on the history of media and technology, Argentine, Cuban, and U.S. literature, sound studies, linguistic anthropology, computational (digital) humanities, and new media studies. As a New Directions Fellow, Tom will be able to retrain in data science, statistics, and computer science to improve his research in Cultural Analytics.
