Malika Imhotep in The Body Political
On June 27th, head to the African American Art & Culture Complex in San Francisco to check out The Body Political, featuring our own Malika Imhotep.
The Body Political is a burlesque and variety show that confronts social myths about the body through personal stories of resistance and reclamation. Through burlesque, drag, poetry, dance, and performance art, performers explore the intricacies of their identities, examine their relationships with their bodies, and challenge how their bodies are perceived in this world.
