Ken Goldberg at the Lawrence Berkeley Hall of Science on Robot & Frank
In honor of their 50th anniversary, the Lawrence Hall of Science hosted a fantastic Science Film Festival. They reached out to scientists at UC Berkeley to find out what movies inspire them, then screened the films with the scientists offering an opening introduction.
Ken Goldberg presented Robot and Frank on Sunday, December 16th. The movie examines the relationship between Frank and his robot companion/caretaker, investigating the reality of aging and the possibilities afforded by human-robot collaborations.
