Alum Trevor Paglen in ScotiaBank Contact Photography Exhibition

The Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival is an annual festival in Toronto every May that allows artists, documentary photographers, and photojournalists to present their lens-based work. This year, there were 20 exhibitions and 15 public installations from participants both inside and outside Canada. BCNM alum, Trevor Paglen, was one of them.

Business Insider explains the layout of the festival:

The curated program of Primary Exhibitions (collaborations with major museums, galleries and artist-run centres), and Public Installations (site-specific public art projects), are a central focus of the Festival. These are cultivated through partnerships, commissions and new discoveries, framing the cultural, social and political events of our times. The Featured and Open Exhibitions present a range of works by local and international artists at leading galleries and alternative spaces across the city. The Festival also includes a wide range of Events including a book fair, lectures, talks, panels, workshops, and symposiums.
