Richard Koci Hernandez Exhibited at Slate Gallery

Richard Koci Hernandez, Associate Professor of New Media, has a piece on exhibition in SLATE's contemporary Hall Gallery. Titled "Oakland Blue," Hernandez's art is a 30 x 30 inch metal print going for $875 as part of SLATE's "Oakland Views" collection.

SLATE has curated a collection of work by seven artists living or working in Oakland in honor of Oakland Art Month. Other artists being featured include Tressa Pack, Henry Riekena, Eric Bohr, and Carol Lefkowitz.

From the official site:

The aesthetic approach of these Oakland artists is diverse, including an interest in the urban environment, pure abstraction, and the place in which civilization and nature meet. The exhibition also includes a broad range of media, including photography, digital montage, prints on paper, print on metal, oil on paper, charcoal on paper, and acrylic on canvas.
