David Bates at ENMI
David Bates was back in France this past January to present his paper, “Un réseau peut-il être intelligent? Raison à l’age de l’apprentissage profond,” [Can a network be intelligent? Reason in the age of Deep Learning] at the conference Les Entretiens du Nouveau Monde Industriel 2017. ENMI was hosted at the Centre Pompidou, Paris on January 19-20.
The 11th annual meeting of the Entretiens du Nouveau Monde Industriel proposed to analyze the impact of automated calculation instruments on the constitution of academic knowledge at a time when technologies derived from mathematics applied to networked computing tend to impose themselves on the scientific world based on the efficiency criteria prescribed by the markets.
