Kony 2012 Video Inspires Students to Take Action

Camille Crittenden, Director of the Human Rights Center at UC Berkeley and BCNM Executive Committee member, is quoted by the media on the impact of the Kony 2012 video and the power of social media illustrated in the campaign.

She is interviewed on KGO-TV, March 8, 2012 - "That is exactly the power of social media and I think this campaign and this situation is really perfectly situated to draw on the power of social media," Camille Crittenden, of UC Berkeley's Human Rights Center, said.

Crittenden is also quoted in San Francisco Chronicle, March 10, 2012, "It's not a simple arrow from awareness to effective action," said Camille Crittenden, who leads the Human Rights Center at UC Berkeley's law school. "On the other hand, I think it's a good thing to raise the awareness of young adults who might not take an interest in foreign affairs."
