Nominations Open for BCNM's Susan Miller Fellowship!

The Berkeley Center for New Media Susan Miller Fellowship offers a one semester residency and a grant to a practitioner or academic who is making a significant contribution to promoting the advancement of women in the field of new media, as well as fostering engagement, excellence, and new perspectives in this emerging discipline.

This unique opportunity offers the recipient the chance to engage in creative scholarly pursuits through a residency at the Berkeley Center for New Media. During their residency at BCNM, recipients have access to the college's resources and the broader University of California, Berkeley network of scholars.

The fellowship is named after Susan Miller, an active Bay Area curator and arts administrator whose work has provided essential support to the advancement of women in new media, continuing through a wide range of curatorial and academic programs to the present day. Miller was the Executive Director of the Berkeley Center for New Media from 2008 to 2012.

Funds for this initiative are provided by Meyer Sound.

Nominations are due by October 15th through this form, and should take no longer than five minutes to complete. We encourage you to nominate both students and practitioners. The fellowship recipient will be announced on November 5, 2013. Projects undertaken as part of the Susan Miller Fellowship must be completed by May 18, 2014.
