Eric Paulos & Ken Goldberg Exhibiting at The Luggage Store

Eric Paulos, Associate Professor in Electrical Engineering Computer Science and Chief Learning Officer at the Jacobs Institute for Design Innovation, and Ken Goldberg, Professor and Department Chair of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, specializing in machine learning and robotics, will be exhibiting the artwork they created with Mark Pauline at the special "Illegal" exhibition opening November 10th at the Luggage Store Gallery.

From the Gallery:

The exhibition is about artists who have had to dance around, skirt or break the law to express themselves and make their work. During these critical times, we expect and believe that more and more artists will be faced with more and more laws and regulations affecting free speech and expression.

A performative talk entitled "Artists Survival Techniques and The Law" is associated with the event and takes place on Friday, December 1, at 7:30pm. This wide ranging conversation between two lawyers (Ragi da Laywer & Matt Gonzalez) will discuss a myriad of legal issues with and for artists, including their how to survive tips and stories of those who made BIG mistakes.

We're also thrilled to see alum, Trevor Paglen, included in the list of participating artists!

The show runs until December 16, 2017.
