Niemeyer Lighting Design in San Francisco Magazine
This month, San Francisco Magazine featured Greg Niemeyer's interactive lighting design for the city of San Leandro. You can check out the write-up online and in print!
From the magazine: "Wanting to enliven its downtown and get more data about foot traffic patterns, San Leandro asked UC Berkeley new media professor Greg Niemeyer to come up with an interactive pedestrian-counting scheme. Niemeyer and his students," including our very own Pablo Paredes (CS), "invented an ingeniously simple device that projects colored lights onto the sidewalk whenever someone walks by."
