Ken Goldberg Finalist at ICRA 2015
Executive Committee member Ken Goldberg with Pieter Abbeel and their team (Adithyavairavan Murali, Siddarth Sen, Ben Kehoe, Animesh Gard, Seth McFarland, Sachin Patil, Walter Douglas Boyd, Susan Lim) were finalists for Best Medical Robotics Paper at ICRA 2015 with their paper "Learning by Observation for Surgical Subtasks: Multilateral Cutting of 3D Viscoelastic and 2D Orthotropic Tissue Phantoms."
The award, sponsored by Intuitive Surgical, Inc., recognizes the outstanding work in the area of medical robotics and computer-assisted interventional devices and systems. They presented their paper at the Medical Robotics II panel. ICRA is the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society's flagship conference and is a premier international forum for robotics researchers to present their work.
