Björn Hartmann Receives Best Paper Award at EICS 2015

Will McGrath, BCNM's Björn Hartmann, and co-authors Mozziyar Etemadi and Shuvo Roy, received an award for Best Paper at EICS 2015 for "fabryq: Using Phones as Gateways to Prototype Internet of Things Applications using Web Scripting." At the conference held in Duisburg, Germany from June 23rd to 26th, they discussed their work during a session on ubiquitous and context-aware systems, chaired by Laurence Nigay.

EICS 2015 is the seventh international conference devoted to engineering usable and effective interactive computing systems. Topics of interest include the development of systems with new interaction techniques and modalities, multi-device interaction, service front­ends, mobile and pervasive systems, large-scale and big data applications, as well as novel development methods and processes. The conference proceedings are published by the ACM and appear in the ACM Digital Library.
